YSEALI Professional Fellows Program 2025 | Fully Funded Opportunity in the USA

The YSEALI Professional Fellows Program 2025 is now accepting applications. This fully funded program offers an incredible opportunity for young professionals from Southeast Asia to enhance their leadership and professional skills through a five-week exchange program in the United States. Sponsored by the U.S. Department of State, this fellowship is designed to foster collaboration and mutual understanding between the U.S. and Southeast Asia, with a focus on leadership development.

The YSEALI Professional Fellows Program (PFP) selects emerging leaders from a variety of fields to engage in professional placements with leading U.S. organizations. Throughout the program, participants will gain valuable experience, broaden their international perspectives, and build lasting networks. The program also offers a unique opportunity for fellows to immerse themselves in American culture and the U.S. professional environment.

What is YSEALI?
The Young Southeast Asian Leaders Initiative (YSEALI) was created to empower the next generation of Southeast Asian leaders. Through the YSEALI Professional Fellows Program, participants from eligible countries can develop the skills and knowledge necessary to create positive change in their communities.

Eligibility Criteria:
To qualify for the YSEALI PFP 2025, applicants must:

  • Be between 25 and 35 years old.
  • Be a citizen of one of the 11 eligible Southeast Asian countries: Burma, Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Timor Leste, or Vietnam.
  • Demonstrate leadership potential and the ability to work collaboratively.
  • Have at least two years of professional experience in civil society, government, or the private sector.
  • Be proficient in English (both speaking and writing).
  • Be adaptable, self-motivated, and committed to implementing a project that addresses a challenge in their community.
