The US, Europe, Japan, and now Singapore have all implemented this fully funded scholarship scheme. The National University of Singapore (NUS) is one of the more recent additions to the list of top Asian colleges offering this esteemed degree.
Overview:
This undergraduate scholarship program’s primary objective is to assist individuals who wish to work in biology or related subjects. Eight weeks of extensive biomedical or biotechnological research experience in the fundamental and translational sciences are part of this program for overseas researchers. The fellows will get research training and experience sharing from faculty members in the Department of Biological Sciences and other partner departments at the National University of Singapore.
Participants in this Asian students’ scholars program will attend information sessions about the National University of Singapore’s Graduate Program offerings. Students will have the fully funded opportunity to meet and engage with guest scientists at weekly conferences and lectures. The program will grant access to the University Health Services, the Sports Center, and the Library, among other campus resources. Participants from other countries:
- The National University of Singapore will make arrangements for lodging.
- After attending the symposium, students will receive a travel grant of up to SGD1500, which will cover their airfare from their home country to Singapore and back to their home country from Kyoto.
- For eight weeks, students will receive a stipend of SGD 6,000, which will cover all of their living expenses during the summer program, including meals and local transportation.
- The National University of Singapore will pay the visa fees.
Local participants:
- During the program, local pupils will be accommodated.
- A travel stipend will be awarded to them, covering round-trip airfare to and from the Symposium.
- For eight weeks, a stipend of SGD 6,000 will be provided, covering living expenses like as meals and transportation.
