For the academic year 2025, the University of Eastern Finland (UEF) Scholarship is now accepting applications. The University of Eastern Finland accepts applications from international students worldwide for its bachelor’s and master’s programs. There are around 500 student spots available across 25 programs.

Non-European students can apply for three different kinds of scholarships:

  • Scholarship from UEF: A complete waiver of tuition
  • Up to 50% of the tuition charge is waived.

English Language Requirements

An English Language Test is not required if the applicant has completed a Bachelors Degree from a University located in:

Australia, Antigua and Barbuda, Bahamas, Barbados, Belize, Botswana, Cameroon, Canada, Dominica, Eritrea, Eswatini, Ethiopia, Gambia, Ghana, Grenada, Guyana, Hong Kong, India, Jamaica, Kenya, Lesotho, Liberia, Malawi, Namibia, New Zealand, Nigeria, Philippines, Rwanda, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Saint Lucia, Saint Vincent and Grenadines, Sierra Leone, Singapore, South-Africa, Switzerland, Tanzania, Trinidad and Tobago, Uganda, the United Kingdom, the United States, Zambia, Zimbabwe.

Qualifications

  • Both Finnish and foreign nationals are eligible to apply.
  • Candidates need to be secondary school graduates.
  • Applications for admission to Master’s degree programs are open to both Finnish and foreign candidates with a valid Bachelor’s degree.
  • Fulfil the requirements of the specific program.
