The Ireland Government Postgraduate Scholarship 2026 is now open. This is a completely funded scheme that invites international students across the globe to pursue either a Master by Research or a doctoral (PhD) course in the top universities and establishments in Ireland.
This scholarship is offered to help fund a postgraduate study in Ireland and offers good financial support to postgraduate studies in Ireland and administered by the Irish Research Council (IRC) with funds provided by the Department of Further and Higher Education, Research, Innovation and Science.

Academic Requirements:
- The applicants of the Masters have to possess the Bachelor of degree.
- The candidates that apply to PhD applications are required to have a Master degree.
- Temporary certificates can be used until the results are obtained.
- No Age Limit for applicants.
- Need to find a supervisor in Ireland who would be willing to mentor your research project.
- English Proficiency: not required, IELTS/TOEFL specified by the IRC but requirements by institutions.
- Should be able to provide official transcripts that are confirmed by the host institution.
