Eligibility Criteria for University of Hawai’i ADB Scholarship in the USA:
To qualify for the ADB-JSP scholarship at the East-West Center, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Be 35 years old or younger at the time of application.
- Hold a 4-year bachelor’s degree or its equivalent (e.g., a 3-year bachelor’s degree plus a 1-year master’s degree, or a 2-year bachelor’s degree plus a 2-year master’s degree, subject to review).
- Have at least 2 years of full-time professional work experience after completing their university degree.
- Obtain an English proficiency test score with a minimum of 550 for the paper-based TOEFL, 213 for the computer-based TOEFL, 79-80 for the internet-based TOEFL iBT, 95 for the Duolingo English Test, or 6.5 for the IELTS. Test results must be from within the past two years.
Ineligibility:
Applicants with the following experiences are ineligible for the ADB-JSP Scholarship:
- Individuals residing or working outside their home country.
- Those who have previously studied abroad (outside ADB developing member countries) or are seeking a second master’s degree.
Application Process for the Asian Development Bank Scholarship in 2024:
- First, complete and submit the ADB-JSP scholarship application to the East-West Center.
- Submit a separate application, along with all required supporting documents, to the University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa (UHM) for admission into a Master’s degree program.
- For most Master’s programs, application details can be found on the UHM Graduate Division website.
- For Business-related Master’s programs, apply through the Global MBA Business Program using the specific forms provided by that program.
- Ensure that all required documents for both the scholarship and university applications are prepared and submitted on time. These documents may include academic transcripts, recommendation letters, proof of English proficiency, and other relevant materials.
