The AYFN is giving individuals from many countries the opportunity to experience Japanese culture, fully funded, through its 2025 Autumn Japan Culture Camp. The program will happen between October 19th and 24th, 2025 in Osaka, Kyoto and Nara in Japan. Under the direction of AYFN, this program gives participants opportunities to participate in Japanese traditions, try their cuisine, learn some phrases and practice what they learn. The camp is dedicated to anyone from any educational background who shares an interest in Japanese culture.
Overview
The AYFN Autumn Japan Culture Camp 2025 is a totally funded event created so participants can experience Japan’s culture, interact with collaborators worldwide and take part in various cultural activities. Participants will learn a new language, take in Japanese customs and tour the cities of Osaka, Kyoto and Nara. During one week, those participating will have the chance to try on a kimono, walk through the Higashiyama area and learn how to make matcha tea. The program hopes to teach participants about Japan, tradition and culture, while encouraging sharing between people from various countries.

Attendees of the AYFN Autumn Japan Culture Camp are invited to try out activities that represent both modern and traditional Japan. These include:
- An opportunity to wear traditional Japanese dress as a part of your kimono experience.
- Walking through Higashiyama shows you the past and rich history of Kyoto up close.
- Learn all about the history and how to make matcha, a traditional Japanese green tea, right here!

The Autumn Japan Culture Camp by AYFN will run from October 19th to 24th, 2025. Until August 1st, 2025, you can submit your application for this program.

Activities for the camp will happen in Japan, mostly centered on the cities of Osaka, Kyoto and Nara. Because Japan holds onto its history and also embraces technology, it’s a wonderful opportunity for tourists to see the best of both worlds in one country.
Funding
The AYFN Autumn Japan Culture Camp 2025 is open to applicants whose visas are paid for by the foundation. Money for this research comes from:
- Up to USD 750 is available for you to use towards air traveling expenses.
- All expenses connected to the camp, along with all cultural programs, are covered by the program fee.
- You’ll have a place to stay during the entire camp.No charges apply to any meals during the week.
- All of our trips include all cultural tours and activities free of charge.
- Getting to scheduled events won’t be a problem; all transport will be covered.
- Participants will receive their e-certificate as soon they finish the event.

Eligibility Criteria
Anyone interested in the AYFN Autumn Japan Culture Camp 2025 must fulfill the following basic requirements.
- You should be from 17 to 40 years old.
- Try to explore other countries and understand Japanese culture.
- You can be considered if you have experience in social or youth activities, even though volunteers don’t need this.
- Make sure to prove your future leadership qualities and love for cultural exchanges.
- Make sure to be in good overall health and ready to fly to Japan while the program is running.
- Among campers’ responsibilities is writing, taking photos or making videos for the camp’s records.
