Overview
This year’s Blue Carbon Summer Program will take place between 29th June and 12th July in St Andrews, Scotland. The program gives students and professionals the opportunity to practice and study climate change, marine ecology and conservation.
Participants in this program gain experience and learn how to work together to address global climate issues. The students will get to attend classes led by experts, join field trips, benefit from workshops and expand their professional network.

This program will take place in St Andrews, a Scottish town that is well-known for its universities and lovely scenery. The atmosphere in St Andrews is great for exploring marine biology which is why the Blue Carbon Summer Program is held there.
Eligibility Criteria
Anyone applying for the Blue Carbon Summer Program 2025 must meet the listed requirements.
- You can be a national of any country (applicable to everyone).
- Before starting the program, you should have already completed your first year (two semesters) or an equivalent amount at a university.
- On the site, you can be a student pursuing an undergraduate, postgraduate or professional degree in marine and environmental sciences.
- Earn an average of 3.2 on a GPA scale where 4 points is the highest.
- If required by the country, show proof that you speak English well.
Required Documents
Certain documents must be given by the applicants.

- Proof of English proficiency: For students who are English speakers, the IELTS or TOEFL scores are required.
