Are you a budding neuroscientist seeking postdoctoral research opportunities in Europe? The ECTRIMS Research Fellowship Program 2025 offers an exceptional platform for young researchers worldwide, specifically targeting those focused on multiple sclerosis (MS). This exchange program aims to foster the development of early-career scientists by providing them with hands-on experience in basic, clinical, or applied research.
ECTRIMS (European Committee for Treatment and Research in Multiple Sclerosis) plays a pivotal role in expanding the global community of research scientists dedicated to finding solutions to the challenges posed by MS. The fellowship program is hosted in Europe and provides postdoctoral researchers the opportunity to collaborate with mentors at leading laboratories or clinics.
What Does the Fellowship Entail?
Selected candidates will conduct their research project, guided by a mentor, during the fellowship tenure, which lasts one or two years. Fellows can look forward to contributing to meaningful MS research while gaining valuable insights from top-tier European institutions. The program offers significant exposure, including the opportunity to participate in annual ECTRIMS congresses, where fellows will present their research findings. Additionally, the fellowship ensures a global collaborative environment, fostering cross-cultural interactions and promoting international research partnerships.
Key Benefits:
- Annual Stipend: Fellows receive an annual stipend of €55,000, ensuring financial support throughout the program.
- Travel Expenses: The program covers economy-class travel expenses from the fellow’s home to their host institution and back. Reimbursement is provided upon submission of relevant receipts.
- Research Exposure: Fellows will work closely with leading MS researchers in Europe, gaining advanced training in methodologies tailored to MS research.
- Global Networking: Participation in ECTRIMS congresses allows fellows to present their work and network with international experts in the field of MS.
- Cultural Exchange: The program offers an enriching cultural experience, enabling fellows to study and live in Switzerland or other European countries.
