LeadNext: Ambassadors for a Global Future is an impactful initiative by The Asia Foundation aimed at empowering the next generation of leaders. This program provides leadership training, mentorship, and cross-cultural exchange opportunities for young change makers from Asia and the U.S. The fellowship is designed for individuals aged 18 to 25 who are passionate about tackling global challenges, such as climate change, inequality, and more.

Program Overview:
LeadNext is a fully funded scholarship program that selects 20 fellows each year. Fellows are engaged in a comprehensive leadership development program that includes virtual master classes, personal mentorship, and participation in a Global Leaders Summit. Through these activities, fellows learn to navigate the complexities of global leadership, build cross-cultural understanding, and collaborate on solutions to pressing global issues.
Program Location: Hybrid (Online + San Francisco)
Program Duration: 6 Months
Program Dates: February – July 2025

Eligibility Criteria:
- Age: Applicants must be between 18 to 25 years old at the time of application.
- Nationality: Open to applicants from countries in Asia and the United States.
- English Proficiency: Fluency in written and spoken English is required.
- Commitment: Fellows must be fully committed to the program, including attendance at all scheduled activities, virtual meetings, and the in-person Global Leaders’ Summit.
